United Way of Parker County is pleased to announce that Wade Julian, Vice President/Market President of State Bank in Weatherford has accepted the 20012-2013 Campaign chair position.

As the campaign chair Julian will lead the United Way’s volunteer fund raising council, working closely with the United Way board, staff and community volunteers to attain this year’s goal.
“Wade is an exceptional community leader bringing a wealth of expertise, talent and enthusiasm to our organization, “said United Way of Parker County’s Executive Director Susan Sodek. 

Julian got his degrees from Texas Tech University (in Finance) and Graduate School of Banking from SMU.  He serves on the Board of the Center of Hope and is an active member of North Side Baptist Church.  Serving as a volunteer for Big Brothers/Big Sisters in Dallas, Student Mentor for 4th grade in The Colony, TX and a previous volunteer for the Center of Hope brings a great deal of understanding for all the dedication and commitment required to serve a nonprofit.

He is married to Britni Julian and is the very proud father of a young son. 

Wade has been a long time supporter of United Way and is looking forward to the challenge of Campaign Chair for the upcoming campaign that kicked off September 22 with a bicycle ride, Ride United.

The annual campaign, to raise money for community health and human service programs in Parker County, will run through December, however, donations can be accepted at any time. Last year the United Way of Parker County was able to distribute over $323,000 to community programs provided through their 27 community investment programs. Donations received through the United Way support programs which target these specific areas: Education & Youth, Income &Crisis, Health & Wellness and Seniors. Money raised in Parker County stays in Parker County.
